Hi Jane! Well, I guess he was around at the right time for one. When he started doing that crazy free style glass, it was a first - as it had all been so 'linear' before that. Also, although close up, the technical stuff (painting particularly) is not very advanced, I always think that from a distance, his work has some serious impact! I'm not a huge fan by any means, but I really appreciate the work for it's scale and inpact!
I saw a John Piper original in the chapel in Magdalen College Oxford on Thursday. So, seriously, what makes him so special?
